Infantry only SASL?

Just wondering if anyone has ever played SASL but instead of activating ENEMY guns and vehicles, activate/substitute squads/HS/leaders (even heroes?) of various classes, etc., instead?

I'm fiddling with some computer SASL and just getting scoot and shoot working is hard enough! I've been toying with activating elite squads, etc., in lieu of guns and vehicles (playability hasn't entered into the equation yet...LOL!)

The system is quite a sand-box: do as you prefer.
In my case, I don't rely on a DR to choose the maps : I like to pick those that I like (especially as a DR is more often a 7)...
