Is the foil metal (or conductive)? If so you could probably induce a force on it by passing it through an electric field. Hmm, I wonder how big a battery pack I would need at ASLOK. I guess if I got there early I could get a seat by a wall near a plug.

Did I mention that BattleDice have a built-in forcefield that discourages electromagnetic tampering? :)

Monograms are found on craps dice at casinos too. The foil is not an issue because its weight is so negligible that it does not have an impact on balance. Otherwise, the serial numbers and monograms on the dice presumably would make them unsuitable for use in casinos. Craps dice are tested before use.

Still looking forward to those Slovak dice...
As are ASL players in Slovakia. :)

Need to nail down a design for the white die, although I have some ideas that I need to try first.

Any chance next year might bring 21st Panzer as well?
It's been on the shortlist for some time. Have been debating whether to release it with a small set of DTO BattleDice, include it with the Op Overlord Series, or create a standalone pair that can be used with the black 25. PzGren die (from the Op Market-Garden Series) for the Hatten HASL. Leaning toward the last option at this point, but nothing is firm at this stage.

I was using my Battleschool dice at my first game on my first ASLOK and was asked by my opponent to change dice as mine were constantly lower than his SAN, did so and got similar results .
You're a better man than me, I'd have ... reacted differently. Likely said 'really man.. you obviously care more than me' and given up and found the hotel bar in search of a friendly and fun game haha.

I did not mind his san was 4 and 80% of my rolls were less than the Sa. He is a very good player and complimented me on giving him such a hard game ( he won in the end but only in the last turn, was a very good learning curve for me !

Actually on the subject of dice Mick at Double One produced a set of Battle Dice and proudly announced "I spent 30 quid on two sets of dice". For our American friends quid = one British Pound. He then went on to say that he was drunk at the time and did not remember ordering them.............

I told him to buy his dice from a backgammon supplier - it's a lot cheaper. I know how to make friends

I just keep a pair of battleschool dice in my ASL kit. If I see someone playing with theirs, I play with my own. If they are unbalanced systemically, then we are both on a level field. I prefer the pips personally, I find them easier to read. :) -- jim

I have to say, that as a new ASL, old SL player, getting back into the game has been more enjoyable with accessories like Chris 's battledice. You want to see an interesting emblem come up with snakeyes, not just a couple of ones. Still waiting for those 16mm USMC dice to be back in stock!
