Played Goch Ya from OVHS last night and this question came up - can an immobilised bridgelayer still lay his bridge in the next MPh? The rules say you have to expend 8MP to do it, so can an immobilised AFV expend MP? From a quick scan of the rules last night, we said yes and allowed him to lay his bridge, but looking at D.7, seems like we may have been mistaken. What says the peanut gallery?

There is a similar question in my collection of "Perry Sez" Q&A. (See http://dicetower.com/PerrySez/PerrySezChapD.htm under D8.5)

Rule:D2.5; D8.1; D8.5; (Feb 2003)
Question: I have a British AVRE that attempted ESB for 1 additional
MP to place a fascine and was immobilized. It is stopped adjacent to the AT
trench. May the AVRE expend the \"delay\" MP in the following player
turn to place the fascine and reduce the AT trench.

No; the AVRE note in British Chapter H in the forthcoming FKaC
clarifies that the AVRE must be mobile.

Based on this, I'd say "no".
