It is just that MMP hold the licence to ASL. Was thinking that included all TPP....???
No. Ancient history here: After constant abuses by TPP using AH/MMP art for counters and scenario settings and organization virtually identicals to MMP's, there were legal matters put on march. The TPP stopped that practice, created their own counter art and modified their scenario sheets. BUT, the "open hand" policy about ASL has been there always, the philosophy being that TPP help to expand and promote the official products and expand the base of regular players for the game. A good philosophy, IMO. There were times in which the ASL system was kept alive by TPP, and MMP is a clear example, being a TPP before obtaining a licence by Hasbro. These third parties usually give a tip of the hat to MMP and Hasbro, stating that "ASL is a TM by Hasbro, etc... and is not challenged, etc." Others don't, but the open hand policy is kept. But the individual and collective rights of designers, artists, and companies are sustained. MMP asked for reprinting and updating scenarios by Friendly Fire and Dispatches, and in fact, those scenarios published by MMP have been removed from that publications, because now are MMP's property.
