The jet engine, cavity magnetron, early design for the VT fuse, and other components of the Tizard Mission went a long way to alleviate US 'mistrust' and solidify the "special relationship" to the point the US 'loaned' the Brits lots of goodies starting in April 1941.

I am glad we still have a good close relationship today.
