Yes, the same happens with the deployment area.... But someone made a mistake... I dont know if it is a urban or bocage fight... I suppose it is i.
It appears to be a bit of both. The Canadians were defending the village of Norrey and the 12th SS came at them from the surrounding countryside. They also talk of the Germans getting to a sunken road before the village (B2 to G4 on map f).

When is the registration deadline ? And is there a cap on player numbers?
Thanks
Dave H.
Hi Dave
I would have to say that the 23rd is the absolute deadline. As for a cap, we are looking at keeping it to 32 max in the main tournament.

Cheers

David

May I have your attention? Thanks!

Human Wave has 15 registrants as of this post! 10 for the main and 5 for the ASL SK tournament! As a reminder, this virtual tournament will run from noon eastern daylight savings time on the 24th until noon eastern on the 28th. You play one game per day and you have essentially 24 hours to complete it. Scenario cards will be provided, along with VASL start files (less the order of battle: it's up to players to make sure they have the right forces)

SPONSORS

As of right now, Slitherine has graciously sponsored. ALL registrants will receive a percentage off one download from Matrix (part of Slitherine). Also, the winners will receive a Close Combat download!
No Dice, No Glory is sponsoring as well with some much appreciated behind the scenes work.

REGISTER TODAY!

It's only $10 US for the main, and $5 for the Starter Kit tournament.

May I have your attention please?

The DC Conscripts are pleased to announce that more sponsors have stepped forward to help our tournament. The list seems to grow daily, so without further ado, the following are our sponsors:
  • Slitherine, makers of great computer wargames
  • No Dice, No Glory, promoters of wargames on the net
  • Orcada Media, graphic designers for modern media
  • Microprose. Yeah, they're back, baby!
  • Multiman Publications. Who can hold a tournament without MMP?
So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to the site and sign up today! We go from the 24th to the 28th, one game per day in four rounds of outstanding ASL play via VASL. https://humanwaveconscripts.com/registration-2/

There are 7 people registered for the Starter Kit tournament. It would be nice to get an even 8 players, so please sign up! Registration closes on Tuesday.

Hi Dave
We couldn't figure out how to set it up in VASL, truth be told. (Maps going different ways, etc). Easy enough in person, probably just as easy in VASL, but couldn't figure it out :p

Time was running short, so we swapped it up.

Now that I've had time to digest some of the results of HUMAN WAVE, here is a bit of analysis:
  • Allies won 21 matches and the Axis won 19
  • Attackers won 21 matches and the Defenders won 19
  • Allies and Axis both were attacker in 20 matches each!
  • As the Attacker, the Allies won 11 and lost 9
  • As the Attacker, the Axis won 10 and lost 10
In other words, the play was very evenly balanced! Results are up at https://humanwaveconscripts.com/results-from-2020/

On the site the winner of the round 4 is Richard D not DAvid D. Something is wrong here I think.
