A half squad with 60mm mortar fires and is marked with a FIrst Fire counter. Can the half squad, a 2.2.8, then subsequent first fire at an enemy unit two hexes away or does it have to be adjacent? Cheers

Yes at halve FP per A8.3.

And it will lose the mortar's acquisition.
