What is the Morale of an AFV when you have to make a NTC for a Possible Shock?

Note that the U.S. Marine Corps can differ from U.S. Army. And also:
G17.3 INHERENT CREWS: In scenarios vs Japanese, U.S. Inherent AFV crews have a Morale Level of 8 and U.S. Inherent non-AFV crews have a Morale Level of 7. In all other scenarios, the Morale Level of U.S. Inherent crews is 7 and 6 respectively. [EXC to all: LC Inherent crews; 12.11.]

The morale of unbroken Elite infantry for the nationality concerned (D5.1)
However both USMC & US Army unit's nationality is still American. Does that mean that all US AFV Inherent AFV crews have a Morale of 8 since that is their common nationality? I have not noticed that the USMC and US Army have been attributed a different nationality or that D5.1 notes an exception for US Army as opposed to US Marines.

I have always played it as such but what rule supports that interpretation? Both US Army and USMC units are American by Nationality (D5.1).
G17.3 as noted above.

Against the Japanese, US crews are reluctant to leave their vehicles (hence the higher morale level) but, once they do so, they revert to standard US vehicular crew counters regardless of whether they are USMC or regular army.

Pretty slim but it'll do.
