Guys,

I really do not have words to express my frustration in getting you this module. On the last communication I told you that I was getting the boards and shipping this out. I did get the boards, however, the company that mounted the boards took thier own initiative to crop the boards on each end. Thus hexrow A and GG were 1/4 of the size as the normal 1/2 hex. I made the decision to send them back and demand it to be corrected. As of this morning I am waiting on delevery confirmation on when the corrected mapboards will be here. From that point everything else is ready to go. I will send another message as soon as I get confirmation.

To make up for our continued delays we will be offering everyone who has ordered BtB a special bonus. We have a very cool project next of quick interesting scenarios, with never before seen counters. This product is in the vein of the old ToT rare vehicles, but with specific units and themed scenarios. You will get a very special price that will hopefully keep you as valued customers.

Thanks for your support.

Same sentiments as Robin,

Ever since getting BRV and High Ground I am very hooked on your products. Great gaming and now looking forward to playing OtO.

I agree with the others; Heat of Battle has been good at communicating their difficulties in getting us BtB; I get the sense that Steve and the rest are honestly doing their best to get us this product ASAP.

Between MMP, and other TPP's, I am most happy with Heat of Battle's customer service and relationship with their customers. Sucks that BtB has had problems, but they will continue to get my business!

BtB 2 Barely Hanging On - question

I am getting ready to play this scenario, but can not find the GSW 39H(f) vehicle with 11 MPs. This vehicle is not in the Chap H vehicle notes. Where do I find this vehicle?

Thanks,

Jim B

If that is the correct vehicle then the scenario card is wrong, it shows a 75L gun, the PB counter is a 105.

Hi Jim-

Perhaps your missing that counter, I have both the GSW H39(f) Pak 12 MP's with the 75L.
then there is the GSW H39(f) 11 MP's and a overscored 105 gun.

Jim,

Merely Hanging On is a great scenario and I am glad to hear you are playing it. I dont have anything to refer to, so not sure what the problem is. For definitive clarification, the SP AT is the 75L version in Pegasus Bridge, the one that is essentially the same vehicle as the 105.

I am very interested to hear the results of the scenario.

thanks,
chas

Jim and I played Merely Hanging On. We could not for the life of us figure out what vehicle to use. I believe there is an errata on the card, perhaps not, but we are both pretty experienced and completist, so we thought we had all the counters from every module. Nonetheless it wouldn't be the first time we gacked it. We used the 105 version as the counter matched everything shown on the card except the gun. If we used a 75L version then the MPs, B11, and perhaps the armor were wrong (???) for the counters we could find or had.

Irregardless, the scenario was pretty good. It went the distance but the Germans won handily on the last turn (perhaps a turn too long?). I would think with the 75L guns the Germans would win easily, as they could then kill American tanks MUCH easier. The key for German is the OBA, forget about the HE, use the smoke, especially on the last couple of turns. The Americans will simply not have enough left to cover everywhere as the German runs through the smoke and takes buildings behind the American lines. Still a fun scenario.

Doug,

Thanks much. I am currently away training some soldiers deploying to Iraq, so dont have anything to reference. Also, dont have published cards either.

It may be that the data on the counter on the card is incorrect, but the designation and gun type are correct I believe. Also, for the OBA, it is an HE only module:) for the specific reason you mentioned.

I checked the card again, you are correct, no smoke for the OBA. Jim slimmed me! Thats how he always beats me. :D

As for the AFV. The card shows a GSW 39H(f) with a 75L B11, no ROF, 11 MPs.

The counters I have to chose from are:
GSW 39H(f) Pak with 75L ROF 1, 12 MPs
GSW 39H(f) with 105 B11, no ROF and 11 MPs
We chose the wrong one or we are missing a counter.

Nonetheless, a good scenario. Without the smoke (and with the 75Ls) I may have to give this one another try.

For what it is worth, I just opened my PB and the counter specified is not in the mix.

Counters available are:
GSW 39H(f) Pak with 75L ROF 1, 12 MPs
GSW 39H(f) with 105 B11, no ROF and 11 MPs

as Doug mentioned.

Hi Guys

I playtested this scenario and on the playtest card the correct counter is depicted.

GSW39H(f) PaK with ROF 1, and 12 MP.

Dear customers,

I saw the mapboards on Wednesday and they look good. The Plan is to have the boards mounted this morning and a portion shipped to my house on Friday. We have been told this before, but with the lawsuit hanging over their heads I am confident that this will happen. If this is the case then I will package in my very sparse free time this weekend and try to get some out on Saturday then Tuesday (holiday issue). If I get them on Tuesday then of course add a day for delevery. If there is a change in this I will let you know.

For the Non BtB customers that have been waiting on product I will extend our offer of a discount on our next game to you also as this frustration has affected all aspects of the business.

Thanks

Steve

Hey Steve,

I never seen your HoH products and did not know that these maps were mounted. Do you have an idea what the cost are to mount these maps, and if these are comparable quality to MMP maps? If it is comparable in quality and cheaper than what MMP pays to have it done perhaps there is an opportunity for those folks to retain the hard maps and keep the costs down? :)

cheers

John
