A complete newbie here that is learning fast a game that has captivated me after having told to avoid it due to excessive difficulty....still having played many other wargames and tactical games for more than thirty years!!
At this very moment, I am gathering a lot of info of the ASL system because I have found that this is really THE WW2 TACTICAL WARGAME after having spent many hours with others.
So, glad to be here and be able to read from you now, and hopefully share with you in the future.

ASL is indeed for many – me included – their mostly preferred WW2+ tactical wargame and their lifetime game quite often too.
I hope you will find all needed resources over here.
If you are looking for opponents, you will be able to find here – either for face-to-face or by VASSAL.
Many experienced players will be glad to help you swim in the sometimes daunting waters of ASL.

Yo vivo en Burgos, pero tampoco me preocupa mucho porque ando siempre muy liado y spy totalmente anárquico en los horarios para poder jugar, así que al final tiendo a hacerlo en solitario. Como decía, estoy recién iniciado y me está gustando mucho ASL a pesar de que lo "conozco" desde hace 30 años. Así que espero tener otros 30 por delante para recuperar el tiempo perdido...

Yo también empecé en los años 80 con SL y luego ASL. Después de veintitantos años sin jugar, volví a jugar, pero por Sevilla no hay jugadores, así que juego por VASL, y el ocasional torneo presencial al que pueda desplazarme.

Si quieres darle un tiento al VASL, pues avísame, aunque ya te digo que hay una comunidad de jugadores "hispanos" ( principalmente en Madrid y Barcelona, pero hay en otras ciudades). Yo la verdad que llevo jugando a tope 4 o 5 años, pero principalmente VASL, aunque he ido a torneos en Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, París, Roma y Copenhague. En este último he estado ya 4 veces.

Tengo mis contrincantes habituales, pero si quieres aprender o mejorar, pues me lo dices, y buscamos el momento. Ánimo, que cuando te picas es un no parar...
