Help - can't install VASSAL 3.7.15

Where can I get help with installation?

Running Windows 64 bit, with Java 8 installed. The last version of VASSAL I installed successfully was 3.6.13 (running VASL 6.6.5). It still works. When I open, or run as admin, the 3.7.15 .exe file, nothing happens. Have tried after Norton anti-virus turned off as well.

The VASSAL site was not helpful but I found the problem eventually: someone (Windows Defender, Norton?) chose to block the installation file from executing because "it came from another computer." That someone also neglected to mention that it was blocking the exe. however. Very bad form. The fact of being blocked only appeared in the properties of the executable.

The "mark of the web" has been around for quite a while. It's a great habit to check any executable, or potentially executable, file downloaded from a non-trusted location if it has the Unblock checkbox from now on.
