A Berserk enemy unit enters a hex with a unconcealed Gun manned by a crew.
Is the crew required to:
1. FPF (Final Protective Fire) with inherent firepower?
2. FPF using the Gun?
3. FPF with either (their choice?)

Thanks in advance,
Rick

FPF has to be done with MG/IFE (and small arms if possible, which would not be the case for a crew). Pure ordnance guns cannot be as FPF. So if the gun is IFE capable and can be fired (e.g. CA is not restricted to the wrong direction, etc), that must be used. If the gun is not IFE or it is otherwise restricted, small arms would be used. See D8.31.

There is is. Right in front of me. Duh. Thanks for the answer. (Note: It is A8.311)

A8.311 RESTRICTIONS: A unit eligible to use TPBF vs a Known enemy unit [EXC: unarmed/unarmored vehicle; 7.212] cannot use FPF vs an adjacent unit. Infantry manning ordnance cannot fire it during FPF [EXC: OVR Prevention; C5.64] but must add their inherent FP to the FPF attack.
