I spent an hour last night just barely scratching the surface of what the links here provide. Wow. Great stuff...really interesting.
I am glad these websites are providing folks with GREAT information.

When I got started in SL over 30 years age, the local library was my only source of reading materials.

Thank You Al Gore and this marvelous invention called the "I-net".... :p

isn't that the truth.. it is amazing what you can find out there on the net compared to years past. The mere mention of an HASL module on the siege of Sevastopol for 2010 sent me into an instant hours long internet orgy of 'research' and scouring the web hahah. When you have to shower ..get dressed and drive to local library when the 'inspiration' hits you sort of puts a damper on that kind of thing.

didn't see this site mentioned.. so I'll put it in here in case anyone hasn't seen it. I found a couple of weeks ago while researching .. hmm.. can't remember what... but was directed to this...

fascinating reading..

the larger site btw...is apolitical.. and is a wealth of minutia and detail for the researchers and scenario creators of all sorts out there.

Hey Mods,

Could you please place a Sticky on this thread again. It is very popular and has limited opportunities to be hijacked....

Thanks for the help

Add these two websites to your listing.

The Nafziger OoB collection on the US Army CGSC website:

http://www.cgsc.edu/carl/nafziger/

http://cgsc.contentdm.oclc.org/cdm4/item_viewer.php?CISOROOT=/p4013coll11&CISOPTR=1277

Enjoy

Two updates for the links above:

This weblink has all the files from the first link above in zip format:

http://www.alternatewars.com/CARL/Nafgizer_CARL.htm

This weblink has all the files organized by the period, with a good explanantion about each one:

http://home.fuse.net/nafziger/OBS.HTML

I will continue to look to help all.

Enjoy.

Here's another site with "term papers" written by WWII officers attending The Infantry School after the war. They usually wrote about actions they were involved in.

Gary,

This website will convert to a combined library with Armor and Infantry papers posted there.
Anyone know where the Infantry Monographs went when the Armor and Infantry Centers combined? Fingers crossed.

That T-44 article states that the T-44 didn't see action
in Europe during WW2. However, the T-44
supposedly saw action during the last 3 days
of combat against the Japanese...
Hmmm...
