A few weeks ago I bought the Brevity Assault game and when playing the first scenario "Good Morning at Halfaya", I had the doubt if the victory conditions are correct because the deployment of both Germans and Italians are positioned quite far from the dirty road. Could you confirm that it is correct?

Hello, given that the "dirt road" is the road D38-Y26-X38-AA1, Germans setup within 5 hexes from X10, and X10 is 3 hexes away from the dirt road, so their setup area overlaps with the dirt road, while Italians setup within 8 hexes from S20, where S20 is 7 hexes away from the dirt road, so there is an overlap also in this case. What do you mean with "quite far"?
