I wonder what source the scenario designer used for that scenario? It was published in 1994. Since then other sources have come to light which give us better insights.
Both Kurt Meyer's Grenadiers and Hubert Meyer's History of the 12SS describe the battle from the German side. Stopping the Panzers by Milner gives the Canadian side.

The German force was two companies of Panthers, the 15th company of 25th SS PGR, the Wespe battery. Kurt Meyer and Max Wunche (regimental commanders) both participated with Meyer riding his motorcycle. The Regina's knocked out a flak panzer on a czech chassis so one of those was there. 15th company was a motorcycle mounted recon company with only 9 lmgs and the company commander was killed at the start of the battle. German OB should be something like:
9x468s, 3x lmgs, 10-2 on motorcycle, 9-1, 8-0, 8 or more panthers, a flak panzer and a 9-2 armour leader. Possibly a fire mission of 105mm OBA.

All of the reports describe the highly effective nature of the Canadian parachute flares. The Canadians should have several 2in mortars in the OB for IRs

The Germans were making a hasty attack without any recon at all so SSR 5 is inappropriate.
