On the "Blood and Jungle" type of title how about "Sand and Flies"?

Hi ya-

Sounds great Chas, one suggestion though, please leave hammada off any maps you include for the DTO, they are way to much of a pain in the ass to deal with.

Scott
I have to second this, the endless rolling is a drag.

Or use an optional SSR like Treat all hammada hexes like OG DTO hexes.
I like hammada and if they don't exist on a map, it is more difficult to make a SSR to create them on it.

excellent point! I don't see any problem with them, ask Rommel or Monty if they could SSR difficult terrain out of their way. :laugh:

Those boards are to be figured out. I have ideas and some good drafts, but this is of course down the road stuff.

Lots of work to do and little time to get there. We are still on track, expect more detailed release info around the first week of September.

Overall Crucible of Steel contains a very diverse set of scenario types on very "East Front" terrain, mostly relying on the 9 board equivalents that come with the product. Scenarios focus only on the southern shoulder. There are some new counter types as well. Articles are primarilly rules/tactics focused, with only a short historical summary.

One word can sum it up....SEXY!

Unidentified sources indicate that there are several scenarios whose sheer size and scope will leave East Front fans speechless for long periods of time upon first viewing. A lasting smile follows as the next phase of this syndrome, often accompanied by the slamming of one's hand on the table with an outburst of, "Damn! Would ya look at the size of this thing?!". :D {and yes, Psycho - that *is* what she said! ;) }

I prefer the more sublime one word summation... wow!!!

Funny it has taken this long for someone to really dive into detail on this most famous segment of one of the wars most famous battles. I can't wait to see what you all do with it, your track record says it will be an absolute winner.
