In the south the 2nd cav withdrew slowly to win time for the arrival of the 8infdiv.The 2 eastgerman MTR divisions were allowed to move far towards the Main, were outflanked by tankunits from 2nd cav and 8infdiv,surrounded,broken by fire and forced to surrender by assault in 2 concentric battles.2nd cav and 8inf div then moved forward and bumped into the 5th and 10th polish tankdiv. The 2nd cav moved around the left flank of 10th polish tank and cut its retreat over the bridge at Bamberg. From the north 2nd brig. of 3rd infdiv moved east of the Main and took all bridges completely cutting off the 2 polish tank divisions which 8th infdiv then slowly broke and forced to surrender by assault.2nd cav thenn easily moved into eastgermany.
As soon as it was clear that 3infdiv was not going to be atacked at Scheinfurt,1brig. moved into eastgermany towards the Saale without much resistance.
The german 12th tankdiv first had to retreat from the 7theastgerman tkdiv but after having broken it by defensive fire a slow advance towards the eastgerman border was made in which most of the 7th eastgertkdiv and many army artillery units were destroyed. With the aide of the 10thgertkdiv and a brigade of 3rd usinfdiv the 2nd polish MTR div was also destroyed.
In Fulda the 11 ACR came under heavy attack from the 76th grd airmobilediv, broke it by defensive fire and destroyed it with help of 1 brigade from the 3rd usarmrd div.
Other units from 11ACR had to abandon Bad Hersfeld under pressure from the 20th and 39th grdMTRdivisions. Two brigades of 3rd usarmrddiv moved around the flank of the enemy divisions forced them back on the Fulda, pursued and slowly destroyed them.Because the 57th GRDMTRdiv was located south of Eisenach, this city was taken from the north behind the 57th GRDMTRdiv.
In the north the 2ndpzgrdiv beat off an attack into Kassel by the 27thGRDMTRdiv and forced it back over the Fulda.Another attack from the east by the 6thGRDtkdiv was stopped,it was then outflanked by one brigade and pushed over the Fulda.2ndpzgrendiv then marched east and took Gottingen. The 5th GERPZdiv first isolated the 79GRDTKdiv which had crossed the Fulda and slowly destroyed it.5thpanzer then moved over the Fulda and destroyed remnants of the 27th mtr and 6th grdtkdiv. It then crossed the Weser and together with the 2nd pzgrendiv destroyed the 9thtankdiv.
Towards the end the 11thGRDTKdiv was atacked and severely beaten south of Gottingen.
All vp hexes were taken but the one in Halle was retaken by the 7thGRDTKdiv after forcing to surrender the airmobile battalion which had taken Halle.
A smashing victory.

Hmmm try ageainst human opponent... the AI is a poor match-up:devil: with the live opponent you are sure to lose two 11ACR's Squadrons in Fulda and Bad... north of Fulda , 2ACR dies in Bamberg... and the US Inf Div in Shweinfurt got's Clobbered by a GTD accompanied by the GDR boys:) any way i just love to play the Combined Germany scenario:) The only trick as WP is to take Wurzburg and stop the advance as a US AD apears south of the City... the fights for Frankfurt could become messy as the terrain is poor there:laugh: Any way AI dose not act creativly it just push to the VP hexes and gets flanked and butchered:) It dose not set traps... it just attacks and dies

Ai

tHE AI certainly does not play well.He is too obvious and is easy to outmanoeuver.I will certainly try it once as the WP to see how the AI acts as the defender.
