Just want to make sure about the German Set Up for FT16 in FTC #13.

The German Infantry Regiment 80 sets up as follows: "On Board 24 in hexes numbered < 2"

Free French Infantry is entering on Turn 1: "...along the South Edge of Board 24"

The South Edge of Board 24 is row 10, not 1. On the surface it would appear that the intent of the German set up is to give the French a one hex buffer to enter the map, but instead the Germans are forced to set up one hex from the North edge. As it is the Germans are set up in a thin ribbon along the North edge of Board 24 not actually defending the board.

Question: Should the German set up read "On Board 24 in hexes numbered < 9"?

I take it from the deafening silence that the Setup is correct.

It just strikes me as so odd that the Germans are not actually defending the Stone Buildings over which the scenario is being fought, when there is no reference in the Situation or Aftermath that this is a meeting engagement.

In the first version of the scenario (FT magazine #5) map board 24 is reversed. Could be a misprint in the new version.
Post edited since Laurent provided a correct answer.

The board 24 orientation is good (note the entry area of Free French M3A3 is 24GG5/GG6). Yes, it is a meeting engagement.
