Forgotten War: a review

THE GOOD
Tight and clean product, few errors, new terrain types, good mix of scenarios
THE BAD
The RM Commandos should have had self-rally like the Rangers do, rules omissions

All good mate .. I am just saying in half-jest .. that since this is the count from the University of Kansas (one side of the war), I might see a different count from the other China side. :)
No worries. I misread your question and was just answering it straight.

I did find a site which is from the Chinese POV: http://www.centurychina.com/history/krwarfaq.html

It claims:

"From official Chinese sources, PVA casualty during the Korean war was 390,000. It breaks down as follows:
KIA: 110,400
DIED OF WOUNDS: 21,600
DIED OF SICKNESS: 13,000
CAPTURED & MISSING: 25,600
WOUNDED: 260,000"

Here's a more complete list of estimates: http://www.koreanwar-educator.org/topics/casualties/p_casualties_korean_chinese.htm

My feeling is you guys did not play those Chinese scenarios or play them fully because the Chinese are not fun to play and the scenarios that do feature them basically make the Chi coms almost worthless on the battlefield.

Scott
The CPVA are really stinking up the joint with their 9-1 record on ROAR.........

I think it depends on who you ask. I say from 183,000 to something like 600,000. I am not sure I would trust Chinese sources any more than I would western sources.
