One still needs the desert boards for all but one of the scenarios...so including it in HL makes sense from that point of view.

I will not purchase an Italian Module ,
BUT I would purchase a Soldiers of Negus as a separate product.

If you want the updated scenarios, you have to order the module. MMP is not like the old Avalon Hill, they don't have spare parts just waiting for customer orders.
Same with updated counters and mapboards.

Interesting. I was not aware of that. Though it appears more a reprint rather than a '2nd edition' to me.

There was a 2nd edition of HL. It was improved in some ways, but had a number of errata counters--which were replaced in the original AOO module. Hopefully, 3rd time is the charm. Plus, it will address the Escarpment overlay which never quite fit Board 25 correctly.
