DA (and some other, insignificant games ) is the only reason I still have Windows XP on my disk. Btw, if anyone here has been able to run DA under wine I would very much like to know how he did that.

You may want to try TacOps, too. It's also modern scenarios, but on a lower tactical scale, batalion to brigade. Plus there are German units which you can use to create scenarios yourself. Just visit the TacOps forum here or go to battlefront.com.
