I haven't actually seen any units that can perform this formation. I understand it needs to be a sizable infantry unit. A halberd formation I would think could do this, but so far the ones I've seen have not been able to do an extended formation. The game manual is rather sparse concerning this tactic.
Can someone name a battle that has units that use this formation?
Also my understanding is that the unit occupies 2 hexes, so does that mean that the force is split like a skirmisher unit? With each hex have a 50% strength unit?
