Is there four guinea pigs, oops I mean volunteers for this test :) we can try with four players and me as your must trusty umpire :) I have a modified BLUFOR OOB for the scenario TF Henson. Nothing fancy with the scenario just a delaying or blocking action against the OPFOR.

What this is, is that the players will send in their orders to the umpire (me :D ), who runs the combat phase and then sends out the .tac files to the players and start over again with orders from the players.

Let me know if anybody wants to try this experiment. If this works out, may try it with one of my CPX scenario.

When John said "send in their orders", I think that he meant written orders/instructions.

This is a variant of how CPXs were run several years ago, before I added the multiplayer network play mode.

heh - not harassing; just suggesting perhaps for brevity's sake you run multiple turns before the next order phase. One, to keep the game moving, and Two: to simulate command delay :)

you could run it turn after turn, but it would get finicky (for you)

Interesting, will have to try it. Now if I can get four players to try it maybe I will post what happen during the experment. Now the wait is on who will step up.

I would, but +8 GMT timezone and work means you'd be waiting 24 hours per turn, hence my aversion to single turn generations...

Ok, I have one player all ready signed up, Dennis Huff.

What I was going to do is experment on turns and I like the idea of five minute increment turns. So if you want to try let me know.

The PBEM helper also allows you to do two turns per mail exchange in "trusted mode". Just like TacOps PBEM.

You might want to look into that for this game.

John,
I am having email issues. I am using a default free internet service that kicks me offline very frequently. I hope to get this figured out in a day or so so we can continue with the multi player PBEM test.
If you could let the others know I would appreciate it.

Dennis
