In the East Coast League, Jim Fardette's Swedish Volunteers held off Mike Augustine's Russians in SV9 Mexico and Morocco. The Russians assaulted Mexico and drove the Swedes back, but the Swede's rallied and used a fall-back defense, keeping the Russians at bay. Luck played a factor, as the Swede's rolled 3 sets of snakes to generate a leader and hero as well as 2 fanatic squads. The Commissar did his part, never failing to rally the conscripts at the business end of his service revolver but it wasn't enough. Fun game and well played by Mike. As for me, I forgot the Swedes weren't Finns and threw away my only on-board leader as a human road-block thinking we had self-rally capability. So not so well played on my end but we skulked off with a W.
