It would be cool to have a kind of world series between the east league winner and the west league winner. Like baseball.

On the second day of the Battle of the Bulge my American troops have to defend a bridge across the Our against Felipe Zavala's panzer force!
A nice sidenote is that I spend holidays for years in Ouren with my family and I know the place and the 2 bridges well!
My American defenders did a good job! Especially the well positioned M2A1 105mm Howitzer proofed to be very efficient in delaying and killing German infantry. My Hellcat didn't survive the first few minutes of the battle as Felipe's armored force deployed on the battlefield. In the ensuing firefight my AT-guns took out 2 of his PzKpfw IVH's for a loss of 1 of my AT-guns and a broken gun crew. But the German infantry failed to cross the open ground in LOS of my ART and machine gun team. The attackers last half-squad made it to the woods in 44X10 but were broken by my machine gun team in turn 4 and kept under DM status by my match-winning ART piece.

It must have been my real world knowledge of the terrain to help me win this one! ;););)

Thanks for the fun game Felipe!

Any Chance of creating a ROAR-esque type of VASL League template?
Drop down menus of who you played and what scenario? cross linked to Roar and also in an ANNUAL VASL League database?

Seems like someone has to have the expertise to design a "simple" data point entry tracking system.

It would reduce the "pen and paper" type tracking.

Thoughts?
Anyone did this?

I won't do it, but I can prepare and provide the data I have if someone else wants to.

In other news, I won't close the final round until November 2nd, so you can use the whole weekend to finish your games.

And for 2021, I'm thinking about some changes and refinements of the rules. I will start a separate discussion about this in November.

Rob and I were able to finish up our game of Scout's Out in the East Coast League. Things were tight as the Americans surged across the bridge, but a couple of German squads were able to find some fausts, ate the backblast and killed the tanks in the streets outside to exceed the CVP limit. Very fun game, and Rob was a gentleman as the dice turned against him. Looking forward to next year!

Jason Burnette's Americans were defeated by my Moroccans in ASL80 Play Ball. After one red chit, I got 5 rounds of 70+mm in a row, despite scarce ammunition. I pushed one of the ARTs onboard to free up SOMUAs for joyriding half-squads that got deep into his backfield. This scenario is all about taking prisoners, I figure.
Jason is a good opponent, and I look forward to playing him again.

I'll go update the web site and ROAR now.

Paul and i played 233 Failure to Communicate.
It started badly for me when on turn 1 I lost a 9-1 to a firelanes (2-1shot took the risk and paid the price) and an 8-0 to a sniper leaving only 1 leader in my main attack.
It turned 3 turns later when he rolled 12 on his 10-2 And I snaked a CC roll.
Great scenario that I'd overlooked for too long. Great opponent who was very patient with my inability to get time to play.

Whoa! Sounds like we need a Royal Rumble cage match to settle this!

Yeah, the WEST league was really, really close. Larry won because of the second to last tiebreaker, the number of the first game lost. If that had been a tie, too, it would have been random selection.

I'm sorry, I'm gonna have to ask for a recount :)

I would be happy to battle it out with the winner of the West League. Winner gets to be World champion of the USA.
