Hi everybody,

I am designing a series of partisan winter scenarios with a strong presence of railroads. One particular problem has been the combination of Deep Snow and EmRR, I am somewhat uncertain about the MF/MP cost implications of entering a half-level RR hex across a non-RR hexside.

Ground Snow (E3.723): "During Ground Snow, all Infantry/Cavalry must expend one extra MF per elevation level change (up/down)" - this assumes only full-level elevation changes though. (With Deep Snow +1/2 MF or +1 or 2 MP in addition.)

EmRR Cost Chart (B32): DOT for Infantry, 1+COT for Cavalry, 2+COT for fully tracked etc.

Hillocks have different MF/MP costs (F6.3): "Infantry/Cavalry/Wagon, COT (usually Open Ground); any non-Wagon vehicle, one MP + COT."

Am I correct to assume (based on E3.723 and B32) that entering an OG EmRR hex across a non-RR hexside costs 2.5 MF for both Infantry and Cavalry, 3.5 MF for a a Horse-Drawn Gun, 4 MP for tracked veh., 5 MP motorcycles, 6 MP for ACs, and 9 MP for trucks - i.e. base cost from B32 with extra for Deep Snow (extra for non-tracked), but no additional elevation change cost for Ground Snow?

Thanks!

Addendum: Leaving an EmRR across a non-RR hexside is not affected by any additional MF/MP cost due to elevation change, correct?

The extra MF/MP for changing elevation to/from a Hillock (and be extension an EmRR) is NA per ASL Journal 10 errata to F6.3:
"E3.54/E3.723 does not apply to changing elevation via a hillock."

F6.3: last sentence, after “E3.54” add (/E3.723).

Right, thank you very much Klas! That would mean my numbers above are correct. You pay the MF/MP cost as per EmRR plus the hexside costs caused by Deep Snow - but not the elevation change costs caused by Ground Snow (since it's not a full level).
