Well I guess it’s time to buy a tablet. Stupid question but will this work on one?

Instabuy.
Excellent work !
And I am glad that you will make any updates (chapters F and H, for an exampe) free for those who have bought the thing.
And thanks for having integrated all the errata !

so I can buy on my desktop and copy it to tablet?
Yes, as any pdf file.
Your name is embedded at the bottom of the pages, so you of course cannot give it to someone else legally.

After a direct discussion with a friend, I withdraw my concerns. I think it is a fair price for what people are getting. -- jim

I am surprised at the price on this. I am not usually one to balk at price either. No printing costs and it costs me more than a pocket version? Meh, hard pass. -- jim
Jim, one thing to note is that once it has been purchased any updates to this version are free to people who have purchased this. As we add other chapters (HASL, etc..) and errata all you need to do is download it again.

Why isn't the link on MMP's website under the rulebook? Guess they need to catch up.

Just got mine!

I have published stuff myself, and in my experience, the printing cost is one of the smaller items in such an endeavor. You are paying for the thousands of hours it took to make the hyperlinks, incorporate the errata and proofread all of this.

The shopping cart software is built to sell physical items. Like many companies, we use Wargame Vault to sell and distribute our electronic copies. No real way to list an item on our site that points to WGV. Currently, I have a banner page for the eASLRB and I am looking at ways to build a stand alone page for them.

"and associated charts" -- does this mean "the dividers that come with the physical rules" or something else?
