There are also after action reports available at the Marine Historical Society as well as some monographs.

Some 'might' grouse about this, but how about 'hypothetical' clashes (i.e., cease-fire violations...) involving the North China Marines in Peking, or the 4th Marines at Shanghai vs. the Japanese in 1932 or 1937?? I'd love to see an OOB and ASL Unit Organization for the 'China Marines', 1927-1941... I remember reading somewhere that the 4th Marines still adhered to an older TO&E from the 30's, and were more of a 'stripped-down' force than most pre-war regular USMC units were at that time.
