I'm interested to know what this NTC represents?

It represents a deep morale issue within the 795th. The unit, an eastern battalion with German officers, had fought without letup all day. Ultimately they were convinced by the Americans to surrender instead of continuing to resist and they did so en masse. The NTC reflects the possibility of that historical event to happen in the game. They had fought hard but their losses and logistics were non sustainable and they realized it.
