If you are looking for some very good information to help your research for DYO of ASL scenarios, then I recommend this website:

The maps here will assist you with the historical look/feel of most WWII battles on the European continent.

I have spent about 5 months downloading over 250Gbs of data to help me see the units and where they were on any given date.

This website is the best I have ever discovered concerning information about WWII.

That's where I got the photo for the Brest Fortress map.
