Does it matter on which hexside the wall is for LOS purposes?

9.2 LOS: Wall and hedge hexsides are Half-Level obstacles to same-level LOS (A6.21) unless the wall/hedge hexside is part of the viewing/target hex.

The hexside matters and there are no walls that are part of the firing hex. No, it can't be seen.

Hi

LOS crosses the wall at G17/G18 hexside, can a target in F16 be seen?

see this picture:

/S

IMHO, if there is wall depiction on both sides of the LOS threadon the G17-G18 hexside (or wall depiction on both sides of LOS thread in hex G18 in this example) the LOS is blocked

If you determine there is no wall depiction on both sides of the thread on the G17-G18 hexside, where the LOS passes through the gap in the wall, then LOS is clear. See the last sentence of B9.1

Cheers

Only way that is a clear LOS is if it goes through the gate clear. Which it doesn't. The wall can be seen on both sides of the "thread" by the top of the '8'.

But damn, is that close. Just another way that mapmakers influence all parts of our daily lives.
