Does anyone have any opinions on Buzbe for ASL Storage?

BoxBox lids fit tight, but do not secure, not a problem though. Perhaps I'm just unusually coordinated, but after seven years of play, including road and air travel to club meetings and tournaments, I've never spilled a BoxBox. I just stack 'em snug in a larger container that does lock and when flying (and only when flying) wrap a rubber band around them to be safe. And, I find their lack of a hinged lid and clasp mechanism to be an advantage on the table - they take up less room during play. The removable lid fits well underneath when you play so it does not get in the way nor does it get lost.
Hehe, I'd say UNUSUALLY lucky. I design everything with failure in mind. No matter how careful one is, bad things are bound to happen. (When bad things happen to good ASL players) If I had your system, I would put rubber bands on it when traveling.

When I switched to the 3701's years ago, my specs were: 1. Must be latch locked. 2. Must be water resistant. 3. Must not be deep. 4. Must have compartments touching the lid so there is no chance of counters spilling over. 5. Must be translucent. 6. Must have a detachable lid. 7. Survive a fender bender [EXC, brew up]. Plano checked all those boxes for me. I have every official AH/MMP ASL product (expept Piper's, ABTF, BRT), that fits in 21 3701's and 6 3600's Righto, It might be a bit overkill, but I was a Combat Engineer.

I'm getting ready to punch and clip an entire set of counters from 2nd Edition modules. I've been thinking about how I plan to store those. My 1st Edition counters are all in Planos and those work fine. But I recently found these Buzbe cases online and they look like Raacos, with individual removable trays. I was wondering if anyone here has ever used them and has an opinion on how good they are. They are $$$! But, they look good.

Looking at the pictures of those, I would avoid. As others have said, they are dark and too deep, and I'll add not enough bays. I think the ones I use have up to 34 compartments each. But hey, were ASLers....Ask one non rule question you'll end up, with 4682 answers, and 20 more questions...

I have a good number of the 27-compartment Box-Box containers. Container Store also has a 32-compartment softer plastic container with fixed compartments and two latches to lock shut. I think these are good for nationalities with the standard 26-squads and 10-14 half-squads— Allied Minors— to fit the counters.

For the record, your picture looks like a Plano 3701. That's what I use, also. They work great overall. Some bins are full, some not quite as full. But I prefer the "more compartments" option it affords (34) than to combine lots of things into one bin (or smaller containers) just to take up the space. Denser has it benefits for travel, but I find the above easier to pick stuff out. It's all a personal tradeoff. :) FYI, I have 19x Plano 3701s for ETO/DTO in one suitcase incl. boards, overlays, rules, a few scenarios, etc. A few more Plano 3701s in a second travel bag for PTO, KW, BFP, SASL, and binders of scenarios.

Man, you practically need a steamertrunk to transport your ASL gear. I remember going to ASLOK back in 1992 and all you need was a card board box with your whole set.

It rolls around easy, no problem. Lifting it into the trunk of the car, however, feels like 20pp.... 🆒 Oh well, for the love of the game!

i bought some (rather large!) Stanley Parts holders with removable trays. I can dump them out individually pick my counters and put them back Love it. Of course they were way less expensive at the local superstore. I got the ones with small trays. Each container holds about 48 trays.

Look at the bright side after one lifting attempt you can earn a -1 Labor status counter if you fail...

I just finished punching and storing a full counter set of all core modules. Behold the German-like efficiency of BoxBox in the upper half of the attached pic. Thirty-nine BoxBox holds everything, with room to spare, in modular, stackable, transparent fashion. Even Marie Kondo would be jealous.

I've been playing since release, so struggling with storage for decades. I hate Plano, even the 3701, but I used them from about 1985 to 2016, so 30 years. I've got a whole gigantic box full of them in my basement, waiting for a local ASL player to buy them off of me. If I had to do it all again, I'd save whatever it took to buy Raaco up front.

The 3D stuff made by Michael Durnik is well worth a look at ! And that from the owner of the great ASL wall of RAACO

I will stay with Plano for my counters tat get used every day and also use Raaco (with the molded 3D printed containers) for those seldom used counters. Best of both worlds for me. I shaved off 40% storage space with this option.

Isn't that like:
