... then being dropped into a hornets nest.
Ah, the fun of playing in unique scenarios! :alien:

Mine have been called, brawls, alley fights and now a hornets nest; no one ever said that one of my scenarios was boring!
:nofear:

Nice to go "out" with a bang don't ya think! :toast:

Boring they certainly are not! They've been a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to the mayhem and chaos this one promises - unless I lose, in which case I will curse you and find great fault with it.:hush::blab:

:eek:gre:

:crosseye:

I know you meant that in the most flattering way... :bite:

Besides, tiny maps are for sissies. :stirthepot:

 :toast:
I am not playing those other two demos and still only have enough time to play this "monster"... I was getting worried that others might have abandoned this undertaking for cm:BN or PCO or whatever...

Sorry about the delay. This is a setup nightmare and has been difficult to confront with limited time. I've been setting it up in chunks over a number of days and will have it back in a day or so.
I, on the other hand, went for random sort of setup, in hopes that the unexpected will win the day...

That may have been the best choice rather than trying to comprehend a chaos of this size. So, fight chaos with chaos! :D

Heh. I tried to think of everything through just to find out that I left a couple of units completely naked :(

Anyway, we made it to turn 5-6 or something (some excellent carnage!) and then RL got in the way so currently progress is slow.

"Setup Nightmare?" "Monster?" :crosseye:

You don't get a "standard BFC sissy" scenario from me!!! :freak:

No limited setup, no just move forward & engage & no, when will I see any action concerns. :devious:

Look at it this way you get:

Surprises all game long. :popc1:
Multiple setup options. :D
Lots of room for strategy & tactics.
A wide array of units & lots of them.
A punch in the mouth starting Turn 1
And an endless beating lasting the next 40 turns. :nofear:

What more could you ask for in a scenario? :halo:

And really, this isn't even one of my classic "monster" scenarios... :hail:

No offense, I am looking forward to this "Monster Mash"... I was afraid that the others had been put off... (Besides, in a couple of turns, the numbers should be significantly reduced to manageable levels anyway! )

Okay, Cornolio and myself just gave orders for Turn 32 (of 45) after a pretty productive weekend. Shaping up nicely.

Welcome to the the final round of the Diverse Tourney! Starting May 4th - ends July 2.
Ummm...out of curiosity, I went to check and noticed that...ummm....I take it we have all missed the deadline?

I figured with the lack of updates & summer (plus the release of CMBN) this one was going to take some time to complete.

Whats the status of everyones games?

Will Aug 2 be a good end date now?

Okay, we just finished our game. No spoilers until everyone else is done, but I hope I am okay in posting the score.

Axis 72, Allies 28. Well done to Cornolio for a well played, and fun, game and well-deserved victory.

BigAlMoho and I just finished. Axis 71 Allies 29 for a tactical Axis.

Certainly an interesting scenario. I'll post an AAR when everyone is done.

(Wow someone remembered, hey Lurker!! I'm not playing CM anymore and rarely check the forum now so lucky I saw your post.)

Well... only 2 of 4 games of the Final Round were played.(And neither of the two players in the championship match reported a game.)

The two reported games were:
BigAlMoho 29 vs. Lurker 71 = Axis Tactical Victory
Michael Dorosh 28 vs. Cornolio 72 = Axis Tactical Victory

Resulting in the final players tourney scores of:

MeatEtr: 44 (did not report final game)
Lurker: 41
Quellist: 40 (did not report final game)
Cornolio: 39
BigAlMoho: 23
Michael Dorosh: 22

Based on total points scored during the tournament MeatEtr won the "Final CMx1 Tournament" with a score of 44.

And thus ends CMx1...
