This is the thread for Round 1. (Please read the "One Last Tourney" thread for Tourney info)

If you want to play please post below & select your side: Axis or Soviet - on a first come first served basis.

No limit on number of players but signups END August 5th. All matches will be randomly determined. If we have more of one side selected the last player(s) will be automatically switched to the other side to balance them out.

ROUND 1

Title: KM-Diverse Tourney Round 1 “Control the Villages” (CMBB)
Type: Meeting Engagement with attack and defend.
Date: October 1942
Location: Another obscure place along the Eastern Front.
Region: Combined
Terrain: Rural
Weather: Dry, Cool, Clear, Midday.
Wind: Breeze
Turns: 25+
Size: Small (1300 x 1700)
Points: 2050 (1500 Offense Force and 550 Defense Force)
Designed for: PBEM only
Designer: Palantir
Notes: Each force, defensive & offensive has its own setup area.

Rd 1 starts August 7, ends October 11.
Rd 2 starts Sept 4, ends November 8.

Slight preference for Soviets. Can play Axis if others want Soviets.

Just a note-
All players need to PM me the email address where they want the files sent to.

Just 6 players so far- where's that fighting spirit?

If we can get lurker to take the bait, you'd not be the odd man out... so let's put some pressure on him!

Damn, one minor lapse in concentration and bam, shanghaied!
Someone is going to get a lot of points of me :OHNO:

Oh well, give me the Axis then, I'll pm you my email.

Edit: Since it was some time ago I played PBEM, are there any issues with using gmail? IIRC hotmail mangled turnfiles and if it is the same with gmail I'll find something else.

Based on your track record I know you wouldn't fall into that list- which is why you posted. :D

And well said, some players can do 8 turns on a weekend but if your opponent can only do one then you won't get very far in a tourney...
I encourage matched players (when I post them) to let each other know before the games actually start on what their turn around times are so they can get on the same track and plan to finish early.

Let's rock & roll, sign me up. I'm a high turn rate player as always and I couldn't care less about which side I get.

There are potentially three more people that may be interested in the tourney. I have pm'd them on another board to send them here so keep watch.

Cheers!

Thanks, PM sent. I see you have my listed side as a question mark, so I guess I'll jump in on the Axis side.

I will be at the beach all next week, Aug. 7th-14th, so won't be around. :ciao:
