Hello,
I recently purchased a new 2022 MacBook Air with Apple M1 chip and 16GB RAM. I am having some fairly substantial issues with display lagging when using large VASL maps and many counters (e.g., Sword and Fire: Manila CGIII). For example, when trying to move a stack of counters to a new hex, the stack momentarily freezes in place and then jumps to the new hex after maybe a 2-3 second delay. I also experience delays in map scrolling and counter rendering after scrolling. My older MacBook (2020 with 8GB RAM) that I traded in had none of these problems. I've posted in the ASL forum and the suggestions I've received pointed to maybe a display setting issue or a driver problem. I thought I'd post here to see if anyone else has experienced this situation and might be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks,
-Jim
P.S. I'm using VASSAL 3.6.7 (for Apple Silicon Valley) and VASL 6.6.4
