Greetings from the Bunker, hello to all at the
Forum and a Great Holiday Season to all. Just
wanted to give everyone a progress report on Issue #20
which we are working on as I speak. It is due out at
the Nor'Easter in March, and will have the usual 3
scenarios, two of which will be an action from the
Battle for Kharkov in March of 43, and one from the
Italian invasion of Greece in April 41 along the
Albanian border. We are working on 2 other actions,
one of which will make Issue #20 and the other looking
to make #21. We'll also have another article looking
at the game from a novice perspective,
Carl Nogueira's tactical Tips, and more insights from
my main article writer Jim Torkelson. Meanwhile, Issue
#19 was published at the beginning of October. There
are the usual 3 scenarios, with actions
from the later Philippines, Grossdeutschland, and
Lorraine series including: Pursuing Kobayashi with
Recon in Force elements chasing a Japanese delaying
force north-east of Manila after MacArthur's retaking
of the Philippine capital. Also there is Point 247 as
Grossdeutschland takes on fixed positions of the
Maginot Line extension, and Asking for Trouble,
another Steve Johns tourney style action matching up a
numerically superior Volksgrenadier attacking force
trying to wrest building control from an outnumbered
but Elite American Cavalry/Recon unit. We also have
another fine article from Jim Torkelson, this one on
the OVHS Riley's Road 'Milk Factory' Campaign.
Carl Nogueira has two more informative Tactical Tips
Articles, and I have a look at the Bunker Bash, a
review of Nor'Easter 2004, and a preview of the NY
State ASL Championship in Albany. This 12 page Amateur
Newsletter comes to the greater ASL Community twice a
year, around the end of March and September courtesy
of the New England ASL Community including the Bunker
Crew and our yasl Brothers in Southern New England. IF
this sounds like an Overrun attack by a quad 20L
