Greetings from the Bunker and hello to all at the Forum.
I'm very pleased (and relieved) to announce that Dispatches
from the Bunker Issue #19 has finally shipped after a couple
week delay due to 'technical difficulties'. But the finisher that
my printer was waiting for came in and the job is done, and
the Issue looks good. There are the usual 3 scenarios, with actions from the later Philippines, Grossdeutschland, and Lorraine series including: Pursuing Kobayashi with Recon in Force elements chasing a Japanese delaying force north-east of Manila after MacArthur's retaking of the Philippine capital. Also there is Point 247 as Grossdeutschland takes on fixed positions of the Maginot Line extension, and Asking for Trouble,
another Steve Johns tourney style action matching up a numerically superior Volksgrenadier attacking force trying to wrest building control from an outnumbered but Elite American Cavalry/Recon unit. We also have another fine article from
Jim Torkelson, this one on the OVHS Riley's Road 'Milk Factory' Campaign. Carl Nogueira has two more informative Tactical Tips Articles, and I have a look at the Bunker Bash, a review of Nor'Easter 2004, and a preview of the upcoming NY State ASL Championship happening the December in Albany. This 12 page
Amateur Newsletter comes to the greater ASL Community twice a year, around the end of March and September courtesy of the New England ASL Community including the Bunker Crew and our yasl Brothers in Southern New England. IF this sounds like a Critical Hit from a Brumbar on that Fortified Location you are trying to take, 4 Issue Subscriptions and ALL BackIssues are still available, and here is how to get yours (all prices include S & H, make all checks/money orders out to Vic Provost,
Please, NOT Dispatches from the Bunker):

other BackIssues (#02 - #18) are $3.50 Each in the USA

Just an encouragement for those not already subscribing to take the plunge and get a subscription. Just DO IT! DFTB is nicely done with a solid mix of scnearios and thoughtful articles. These guys have a love for "The Game" and it clearly shows in their efforts.

I picked up "the works" deal last spring and was pleased I did. All in all a great value.

Cheers!
