Enjoy guys! 4 pretty different scenarios that were little puzzles in playtest and all were very tight in our playings, I hope you all have as much fun with them as we did. Carl has a nice part 1 of his look at the Desert in ASL. Glad we had a scenario ready to go with it. Roll low!

Was very excited to see the first of Carl's articles on the desert! Can't wait for 58 and 59 to round out the trilogy.

Hopeful his article series might revitalize some interest in desert since I'd really like to play some!

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, from what I see already, the Desert Article will be a big hit with many, the Desert has been ignored long enough, time to get out of the late war, urban nightmare we have been stuck in and get out in the void space that makes the Desert as challenging as it can be in ASL, you have to make the best of what little cover you come across. Have fun with it and enjoy, Vic.

Still love Mark Nixon's article in 89 Annual: Gunned-Up in the Desert.

Great job as always, Vic and co. And what a nice "blast from the past" surprise! 😁
You bet Dave, when Carl said he was doing the Desert, Tom had Duel In the Desert in his back pocket as we saved it after Contrary and forgot about until all these years later. It playtested fine way back when and I put it into VASL to double check it and you can see this can still go a bunch of different ways. It is all up to the skill of the players and the damn dice. (Who got me good today in Raid On Rodimtsev, the less said about what happened, the better). But no multiple FTs or DCs to ruin your day out in the desert sun, just LOS forever. Have at it!

Also guys, been thinking about how inflation has been taking a bite out of all of us lately so I'm going to put the WORKs on sale for this month with an additional $5.00 off for a $10.00 discount all together (Until the end of April it is $65.00). You get a 4 Issue subscription starting with new/current Dispatch #57 along will all 56 back issues for 60 issues all together. A little over a buck an issue for 175+ scenarios, 2 HASLs and numerous articles on all aspects of ASL play. I hope to hear from you, see complete details at the Emporium link below, Thanks again and roll low, your ASL Comrade, Vic.
