Re: Unsere Flotte - The German Navy in 1912

The one in post no 6 is really pretty.

I just love to read books printed in Fette Fraktur

I think I can present a few similar things - but I need to get home first, so you will have to wait a bit.

One thing in advance, though - a cross section of a pre-dreadnought of the Wittelsbach class which I took from a similar book dating from 1914.

Nice, keep ´em coming. Was that waterline hit a penetration? And how exactly are those splashmarks generated?

I haven't got this particular hit report (Trefferbericht) but according to the list of hits von der Tann got hit four times by artillery, so it's not a torpedo hit. I'll try to find further info once the FIST opens on Monday.:)

Re: Geheim! German battle damage in WWI

I´ve got a lot of stuff like this at home in several books - but my scanner broke down and I actually haven´t got a new one...

For the german members:
The whole books of Gerhard Koop/Klaus-Peter Schmolke. I don´t know if they are available out of Germany.
A lot of interesting pictures, construction data and, of course, battle and hit records and damage pictures.

I´m very sorry I can´t scan and post them today!!:upset::upset:

Give me the full names of the different books and I'll be able to order them via the library/FIST system.

- I'm using a CanoScan (Canon) LiDE 100, got it for 59€ at Saturn. USB, easy to install, low price, the only minus is that the older books i scan are so yellowed that the scanner does'n recognize the pictures, so I have to cut manually and sometimes get a slanted scan -
