Per A9.8 "...such conversion counts as use of that SW (including the use of all ROF). ", so yes.Hello All,
When an Infantry unit destroys/(dis)/assembles a SW in the PFPh, is it marked with a Prep Fire Counter?
Thanks,
Raphael
At night the placement of a prep fire or final fire counter comes with a whole new set of issues... gunflash and visibility to units outside the NVR for return fire. Seems like lots of noise and sparks must fly while assembling and dismantling weapons. One of those things that perhaps suffers in the reality argument stakes, but does make for some interesting decisions about how and when to use dm weapons at night (along with the requirement that all weapons capable of being dm must be dm when under a cloaking counter, so you also have to "decloak" to assemble a weapon). The opponent would get intel in that something (unknown) has been (dis)assembled. If there is only 1 dm (or dm capable) weapon they would effectively know what it is, if there are several they won't know which.
The same is true of weapon (dis)assembled in DFPh only a Final Fire marker is placed.
Assembling and disassembling do not cause a gunflash. Neither do radio or phone usage.Seems like lots of noise and sparks must fly while assembling and dismantling weapons.
There it is in E1.89. Thanks @ibncalb, I'm pleased to know that I've been playing this wrong, as it didn't sit right from a realism point of view.Assembling and disassembling do not cause a gunflash. Neither do radio or phone usage.
Lol! Well at least you are playing Night. That's good enough in my book. There it is in E1.89. Thanks @ibncalb, I'm pleased to know that I've been playing this wrong, as it didn't sit right from a realism point of view.
To paraphrase one of my favorite lines from the original All Creatures Great and Small:Lol! Well at least you are playing Night. That's good enough in my book.
Ahh philosophy. Lead us to enlightenment which is useful during night scenarios. To paraphrase one of my favorite lines from the original All Creatures Great and Small:
Only those that play it can play it wrong.
Only those that have them can lose them.
