It's just made it here to Oz.....I'm kind of torn, it has a great cast with Dougray Scott, Joely Richardson and Eddie Izzard but just seems so overacted. Then again, it's only been on 45 minutes......

Has it made it to the US yet? I'm guessing it's been out in the UK for a while?

Now maybe they'll remake Island of Terror. Bone suckers are always scarier than teen vampires.

Well I watched it to the end and very good it was too, as long as you ignored the occasional Douray Scott overdramatic overdubs. Catch it if it's on.

The original Triffids movie was one of my favorite sci-fi movies as a kid. I heard the BBC remake from the 80s was pretty good, but haven't watched it yet. Which version is this? A new one?

Apparently it's a BBC remake from 2009. Great cast, pretty OK adaptation, it was originally a 2 parter but they showed it straight through here in Aus.
