David Bowie passed away early this morning EST. His last album "Dark Star" was released Friday January 8th 2016, the day of his birthday. David you will be sorely missed. God Speed David!

He sure released a lot of unique tunes, especially in the 1980's. "Space Oddity" really launched his career IMO. My fave tune was "China Girl". Always found it interesting he changed his name (David Jones) so he would not get confused with Davy Jones of the Monkees....as if anyone would confuse those two. I also recall that when he was around 18 years old he was part of the TV audience (front row IIRC) of a BBC broadcast in 1967, of the Beatles singing "All You need is Love". Can probably YouTube it and find it. While not a huge fan, I enjoyed his music. A very unique sound to be sure.
