This looks like a modernised/ upgraded version of the Zis-3, used by Yugoslavian army. My guess is that this weapon could have been captured by the Canadian contingent of U.N. peacekeepers from Serbian forces during the Kosovo mission of the late 1990's-early 2000's.Not so much what, as who and where.
