D5.6 Crew (& Passenger) Survival

A Crew/Passenger have passed its CS roll, no Vehicle Armament was fired before it was destroyed.
a) If they Survived during enemy Prep Fire, can they fire at full strength during their DFPh?
b) If they Survived after enemy Defensive Fire, can they fire at half-strength during their AdvFirePhase?

Yes - see D5.8. If no vehicular weapons have been fired, the crew can use it's Inherent firepower once it becomes a crew counter. If a vehicular weapon has already been fired, the crew is marked with a PrepFire or Final fire counter as appropriate.

thx, tommyl, that's what I thought. It just struck me as odd that the folks could get blown out of their vehicle and come up shootin' - w/o Pin, TI, or any other impairment.
