Hi all

Question -

What kinds of CS MODs would you like to see?

Keeping in mind no change in the game engine.

Take care and good luck

Hi, how about vehicle types like Nashorn, (not ever seen one in the game), armoured vehicles with crew in hatches. How about changing the HQ foot figure to a group of figures with a radio set. Different explosion types, i.e for mortars, heavy arty etc.

The increased rubble is good one.

cheers for now

Excellent ideas, guys!

Thanks!

And now, to go one step further..

Would anyone be interested in MODs that would change the game to play something other than WW2? Civil War? WW1? the list goes on.

Thoughts? Comments? Ideas?

Hope all is well
Take care and good luck

Hi, some WW2 thoughts:

1. Red stars/slogans on Russian tanks.
2. Fuel tanks on back of russian vehicles.
3. Belin white crosses for IS'2'.
4. Baggage etc for armoured vehicles.
5. Camo netting/foliage (great for Normandy Panthers).
6. Tank riders etc for loaded armoured vehicles.

Hope that helps.

SE.

How about a MOD that involves Czechoslovakian forces. A what if situation, I always wondered how the Czechs would fare against the Germans. On paper at least the Czech army was as good if not better than the German army at that time. With the Sudetenland as a defensive barrier how long could the have held? I think that would make a fun Mod.

I think that a American Civil War game would be really good:cheeky:

Well then,

That's two for the Civil War!

That's a good idea, excellent! Shouldn't be too difficult to construct.

Any others?

Good question Fozzey

One could use simulate archers pretty easily, similar to a MG.

It would be the close combat that would be interesting to do. But I think it could be done!

If one alters the weapon specs and unit data to represent a larger sized hex, for example 5-20 metres, then close combat could be represented by "firing" a chosen unit at another chosen unit.

Those units using javelins, spears that a thrown, etc could have a longer than 1 hex range.

I think it could be worked to represent pre gunpowder battles.

Thoughts? Comments?

Take care and good luck

Another idea I just had. Something that lets you switch which view you are in during the enemys replay or enemies turn. Or can you already do that? It would be nice for big maps to switch out to 2D so you know where all the enemies movement is taking place and then back into 3D for combat:)

This you can already do.

Just press the 1,2,3,4,5 numbers on the keyboard (the row above the letters) for utilizing the different views!

Hope that helps

Oops:eek: ... my questions didn't come out the way I wanted to. I do know about the 1-5 numbers on the keyboard switch views. But I can't switch the view from 3D to 2D in a PBEM game when Im watching the enemies replay. I've tried pressing the 1-5 numbers and it won't work. Does that clear up my question?

I believe you can, but it is finicky as to when you can actually do it.
I believe you can only change the view during a replay when there is a lull in the action, ie - movement.

If you're quick you can change it between the firing of artillery.

I don't believe you can change it with a dialog window up, but I've been wrong before and will be again!

Hope you're well

Jason, that is exactly my experience, you can change it during the replay but your timing has to be spot on.

Hi Jason
Please excuse my ignorance by what do you mean "firing" a chosen unit at another chosen unit? Would this be the equivalent to a charge? What about siege weapons such as catapults and trebuchets, would it be possible to represent such weapons?
