While playing Texas Flood on Sunday we had an instance of a mortar attack on a half-track in motion. The half-track was unaffected but the collateral attack on the crew and passengers resulted in a MC. The crew rolled a 12 and were casualty reduced and the squad broke. We eliminated the crew, stopped the half-track, and the squad low-crawled into an adjacent hex in the rout phase. Did we get it right?

Assuming that the inherent crew qualified for the normal CE DR a DR of 12 on a MC would mean the halftrack is Recalled - not that the crew is eliminated.

D5.341:
"Recall occurs whenever an AFV CE Inherent crew that qualifies for its normal CE DRM suffers a K/KIA or Casualty MC result,....."

So the halftrack would just go BU and stop.

Brilliant thank you. What happens to passengers in a vehicle that is recalled? - presumably they leave with the vehicle!

"...If the AFV is carrying any Passenger(s)/Rider(s) it may Stop (or remain Stopped) long enough to unload them, but must unload them as soon as possible after the Recall occurs...."

If the Passengers are broken, it can take several turns until they are rallied, if never rallied in the scenario the vehicle will never leave.
