Question: can the leader help the squad with his -1 in the NMC?
Answers:
a) Yes, if he is revealed at the beginning of the resolution of the attack.
b) He helps the squad without having to be revealed.
c) He may be revealed after solving the NMC to modify the result.
d) He cannot be revealed until after the resolution of the attack, therefore he cannot help.
e) None of the above.

Leadership is mandatory in this case per A10.72. Per concealment loss/gain table case C, the leader loses its concealment because it applied a leader DRM.
