Is anyone using any computer aids in their games?

I've seen the map maker disks and some dungeon design stuff, is there anything else? Is any of it useful?

I recently saw (I think) a scenario you could run your players through using the PC monitor as a visual guide through the dungeon. It was in a bargin bin and I skimmed quickly over it.

This is a good topic and I'm glad you brought it up. I would be interested in hearing about these as well.

The stuff done under the Campaign Cartographer monniker is really good stuff, but intensely expensive. Can be found in retail outlets from time to time.

There are also a bunch of titles that were advertised in the Dragon Magazine..of course I don't have the links handy. Most of them have free trials you can download.

There is some nifty stuff out there...It's just trying to sort out which is the best...

Here's one called Fantasy Grounds. This one is more than just a visual aid, this utility provides a way to run entire RPG games in an online environment. It basically does what VASSAL does for boardgames, only for RPG games.

Here are some assorted utilities I found online:

http://www.breminor.com/id93.htm
http://www.profantasy.com/products/dd2.asp
http://www.mapmage.com/

There is probably some better stuff out there that I didn't run across yet.
Fantasy grounds is pretty sweet.
Checked out one called dungeon master, it is pretty pooched as far as the layout goes. I love the profantasy stuff but since I am first and foremost a wargame addict, I don't have the spare cash to spend on the software.
There was another one I looked at from an add in Dragon Magazine and I can't freakin remember what it was...was prety nice...will check out the other ones..

Also if you have not checked them out there is Irony Games online as well

Hey, thanks for that ProFantasy link. There is some really neat stuff in there! It makes me want to create my own campaign world.
