Thanks! The two (out of print) versions of Hollow Legions only had desert boards 30 and 31. West of Alamein had boards 25-29 and desert rules, overlays and markers.
The future reprint of Hollow Legions is supposed to contain all the desert stuff plus a version of Soldiers of the Negus (Ethiopia).
makes sense... it isn't like desert warfare has had 'em rolling in aisles in the past. Perhaps that will give a TPP time to do something like B&J (or even a real HASL) for North Africa and drum up interest in it..It's down the road a ways, after For King and Country and Rising Sun. I would imagine 2011, certainly not 2010.
excuse the stupid noob question.. but I have the curiosity of a cat. I take it your a long time player... don't you have FKaC..why the cheer leading for FKaC. Figured you have it.. unless it is just a cause celebre for you.. or hmmm....perhaps am I not the only one who gets his kicks wearing mini-shirts, shaking pom-poms, and shaking his ass to crappy music. :laugh:Chapter F in 2011?
OK, we can wait.
But here is one thing that will be enjoyed:
FKaC & Rising Sun (PTO module) really SOON .... Frikkin' AWESOME.
Give the man a CIGAR....excuse the stupid noob question.. but I have the curiosity of a cat.
Anyone have the boards for West of Alamein? I think I have everything else as spare from a guy who quit the game. I would have to check, but I would bet we could piece together a WoA if we tried. -- jimhahah... I figured that was it. Oh well...I thought I had found a kindred spirit... back to listening to some Toni Basil and indulging my inner-most fantasies of cheerleading with a drop dead body topped off with the face of a russian private.
can't wait to see these core modules back in print.. especially the PTO ones. Never was interested in the PTO before... but really interested in playing it. Looks like a helluva hoot.
I know.. .. just imagine fools like me that had them originally... yet got rid of them... only to be faced with getting them again in the face of those crazy ebay prices and dealers whose prices.. reflect those 'market prices' when they even had them. I have just made myself be patient.. and set my own price.. and as items crept past what I was willing to pay.. I waved them sayonara and watched for the next one. Only for OtO did my 'need' to own match what the market was asking. He could be like me. Bought WoA when it came out but am now trying to build up a second set. It's really hard to justify eBay prices when you don't need the stuff but just want your own copy.
I see Leisure Games have boards 27-31 still in stock.I was trying to pull together a second set while back. Had chapter F and counters and part boards. In the end I decided I couldn't justify it for the amount of DTO I play, I knew a reprint would come - hopefully within my lifetime - and I was depriving someone else of the pleasure of DTO. So I passed them on...
