Change Spotter

Question: Is there any way to change Spotter during a normal game?

C9.3:

"the Spotter must be predesignated by the owning player during his PFPh/DFPh"​

...​

"A new Spotter may not be designated until the original Spotter is eliminated, broken, or captured"​

This seems that once a Spotter has been designated he is Spotter for life. Kinda strange, if you ask me.

So, I guess that the answer to my question is "No". Right?

(What I would like to do is having two HIP squads facing different directions, and altering them as Spotters depending on where they are needed.)

You are correct. There is no way to do what you want to do.

Which also means that even if you move away the Spotter, no new Spotter may be designated. Basically you have to voluntarily break him.

I can't tell you for certain, but it would seem unlikely that would have been missed. It's pretty obvious. The real fun begins when the Spotter goes Berserk.
